Ok, now it's time to take a look at the Man of Sin, spoken of in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 which reads: ...'Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.'
Did you know that the God of heaven and earth sits between two cherubims. In Psalms 99:1 we read the following ...'The Lord reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved.'
God instructed Moses to build a earthly replica of the heavenly sanctuary so that he could dwell with the children after the exodus out of Egypt. In Exodus 25:17-19 the bible reads ...'And thou shalt make a mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof. And thou shalt make two cherubims of GOLD, of beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat. And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end: even of the mercy seat shall ye make the cherubims on the two ends thereof.'
The bible clearly states that God dwelt between two cherubims, one on the left and one on the right. Study the pictures below closely and see if it is a reflection of the throne of the God of heaven.

Wow, the Pope of Rome sits on a throne between two golden cherubims, just like God does in heaven.
But what does it mean that the Man of Sin would sit in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God? To sit or be seated means to take office, as a Senator would seek a seat in Congress, or a mayor to seek the mayor's seat or office of mayor. And along with the seat or office comes authority and power to perform the duties of the seat or office.
When Jesus Christ ascended to heaven he sat or was seated(took the office of high priest of the christian church with all authority and power). Mk 16:19 and Mt. 28:18.
Does the Pope or Papacy claims to have universal power and authority over the christian church.
Here are some quotes taken from catholic sources:
1. i) universal: it extends to the whole Church, i.e. to all the members of the Church (pastors and faithful) as to all the various matters which can arise;
ii) ordinary: it is not extraordinary, which would mean that it can be used only in exceptional circumstances; nor is it delegated, that is, it belongs inherently to the office of Pope and is not delegated to him by someone else;
iii) supreme: meaning that it is not subordinated to any other authority[32];
iv) full: it takes in all questions which might arise in the life of the Church, and does so from every point of view;
v) immediate: it need not be exercised through intermediaries and where necessary can have the most practical applications. (quoted from EWTN https://www.ewtn.com/faith/teachings/papab3.htm)
2. Our Sunday Visitor (February 5, 1950):
Practically everything Protestants regard as essential or important they have received from the Catholic Church... The Protestant mind does not seem to realize that in accepting the Bible and observing the Sunday, in keeping Christmas and Easter, they are accepting the authority of the spokesman for the church, the Pope.
3. Pope Leo XIII, Praeclara Gratulationis Publicae (The Reunion of Christendom), June 20, 1894: We hold upon this earth the place of God Almighty.
4. “Pope,” Ferraris’ Ecclesiastic Dictionary: The Pope is of so great dignity and so exalted that he is not a mere man, but as it were God, and the vicar of God.
5. Our Sunday Visitor (April 18, 1915): 3: The letters inscribed in the Pope’s miter are these: VICARIUS FILLII DEI, which is the Latin for, “Vicar of the Son of God.”
Ok, from these statement from the Papacy or Roman Catholic Church we understand that the Pope sits in or claims to have universal authority and power over the christian church and also shows himself to be another god on the earth. Sure sounds like the man of sin spoken of in 2 Thes.2:3-4.
Oh yea, also in 2 Thes. 2:3-4 the Man of Sin is also called The Son of Perdition. There is only one other person in the bible given this title and that was Judas Iscariot who was one of the twelve disciples, a insider, a christian that pretended to care for the poor, but was a thief and betrayer. He betrayed Jesus Christ with an unholy kiss. Is it possibly that the present-day Man of sin/Son of Perdition(destruction) will pretend to care for the poor, while at the same time gathering up all the wealth of the world and betray the followers of Jesus Christ with an unholy kiss.
And oh yea let's not forget that he is the Man of SIN .
And what is the only definition of sin given in the bible? 1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth SIN transgresseth also the law: for SIN is the transgression of the law. This Papal Roman Empire took over the Pagan Roman Empire to continue the war that started in heaven over God's 10 commandment Law, more on that later. This Papal Roman Power breaks God's law by deleting the 2nd commandment about not worshiping idols and also placing Sunday the 1st day of the week in the place of the 7th day of the fourth commandment and then splitting the 10th into two commandments to make it appear that they still have all ten commandments.
